My absolute favorite place in Brookline. They have it all--high quality food, excellent and speedy service, and the friendliest staff.  I enjoy their breakfast and lunch menu--most orders are east within ten minutes. This little gem is totally underrated, and u would tell anyone that they're missing out if they've never tried it.

This place is hands-down my favorite place to get lunch in Brookline. I typically go at least once a week, but usually more often than that. And with good reason: the food is yummy, the selection is wide enough that I don't get bored and the service is impeccable. Everything at Virginia's is made in-house by the owner. This includes a variety of hot and cold appetizers, soups and sandwiches, as well as a tempting selection of pastries, cookies and muffins. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The cafe is owned and operated by the most delightful, hardworking woman who remembers all of her customers by name. On one occasion, I forgot my wallet and, without a second thought, she offered to let me pay the next day. When I tried to pay her the next day, she insisted that it was on her. I have seen her do similar things for other customers many times. This is somebody who truly appreciates her customers and shows it.  So besides guaranteeing yourself a fabulous lunch, if you eat at Virginia's, you are also supporting a truly wonderful local business.
